At Anh Ơi, a shelf is never just a shelf.
When I started baking, I spent years searching for other Asian-American makers whose food felt deeply personal - products shaped by family histories, cultural contradictions, and the flavors they couldn't stop thinking about. I found them at pop-ups, farmers markets, fundraisers, and late-night Instagram posts. The talent was everywhere. The challenge was finding a place for that talent to stay.
That's why this shop exists.
Anh Ơi's shelves are home to a rotating collection of local bakers and makers whose work reflects the many ways we carry culture forward. Some are preserving family traditions. Others are inventing entirely new ones. All of them have something to say.
My hope is that Anh Ơi can be more than a bakery.
I hope it can be a place where great makers find new customers, where small businesses find stability, and where people discover flavors that feel like home - or introduce them to a home they never knew before.
